You can choose any app for analysis, both your own and competitors. This tool gives specific data about the effectiveness of the keywords by which the chosen app is queried. You can see what keywords are used to rank the app higher and what keywords are not effective for the search of the chosen app.

Application: Get data about how an app is ranked with particular keywords.

Goal: Discover for what keywords the chosen app has high positions.

Time: 10-20 minutes.

1. Find the app you want and set the period

In the top search bar, start typing the name of the app you’re interested in. Select an item from the list and specify the period. Put the start and end date of the period in the calendar, or select one of the preset options and click “Apply.”

Asolytics algorithms collect a list of keywords chosen by the app is ranked by, in a given period. You get a brief overview of this list in the upper part of the page:

  1. The total number of ranking keywords.

  2. The number of keywords with which an app takes the Top 10 app positions.

  3. The breakdown by other tops, where you can see the total number of keywords (black numbers), the number of added ones (green numbers), and the number of words dropped out (red).

For example, here you can see that the app takes positions from 2 to 5 in the app store when searched with 6501 keywords.

2. Select a category

All keywords found by Asolytics algorithms for the specified app and period are collected in the “All keywords” tab. You can also separately explore “New”, “Improved”, whose rating has increased, “Decreased”, whose rating has fallen, and “Dropped out of Top-50”. Next to each category, you can see the number of keywords in a particular list.

3. Filter and organize your keywords

Work with keywords in a row or filter them by the following parameters:

  • Popularity shows the estimated rate for the keyword, depending on how often people use this keyword to search for the app.

  • Daily Impressions show how often users interact with the keyword.

  • App rank shows the positions an app takes for a particular keyword.

You can also sort the words in forward or reverse alphabetical order or ascending or descending order by popularity, daily impressions, or rank by clicking the up or down arrows.

4. Analyze keyword performance

Right in the table, you can use the tools to evaluate the keyword’s effectiveness:

  1. Live Search provides you with a list of apps that are found for a particular keyword.

  2. Autosuggest shows what suggestions users get when typing a keyword in the search bar.

Also, when you hover over any keyword, you can translate it using Google Translate (a new tab opens automatically).

5. Add keywords to the Tracking Keywords

Add the keyword you are interested in to the Tracking Keywords by clicking “+”, or for bulk add, tick a few words and click “+” at the top of the table. You can add all keywords from all pages at once and export them to Excel.

The keywords you have added to your Tracker get a green checkmark.

Use all Asolytics keyword search tools to get the most relevant keywords collection in Tracking Keywords and monitor the performance of each of them real-time. Optimize your app text assets with effective keywords. From time to time, repeat the work with keywords to be sure that the keywords you use are still relevant to your goals.
