ASO Visibility
ASO techniques are designed to increase mobile products’ visibility on Google Play and App Store. But what does the term “application visibility” mean, and what factors influence it?
What Is ASO Visibility?
“Visibility” refers to the likelihood that potential customers will see the app in app stores.
It includes both the probability of appearing in search results for relevant keywords and the possibility of being featured in collections and lists like Editors’ Choice and Featured.
All optimization efforts for app page listings aim to increase this indicator and make the app visible and accessible to the widest possible audience. Asolytics offers a detailed overview of your app's visibility, which you can find in the Dashboard under the Visibility tab.
Your app's visibility score is closely related to the total number of downloads. To improve users' first impressions and thus increase your organic installs, you should:
- use relevant keywords in weighty text elements of the page;
- conduct split-testing to get the most winning options;
- correctly choose the category for your app;
- localize the page and product for each country in which it is presented;
- regularly work on updates and improvements;
- encourage positive feedback and work with negative reviews;
- improve the quality of icons, screenshots, and preview videos.
These are all basic ASO steps, which you can read more about in our “Introduction to ASO.”
Keep in mind that the process of increasing app store visibility should be ongoing. It is not enough to achieve the desired indicators; you should regularly monitor trends and user requests and update text and graphic assets to maintain high positions in the store rankings.
