What Is Apps MAU (Monthly Active Users)?

Mobile MAU, an acronym for Monthly Active Users, refers to the count of unique individuals who has engaged with your app within the past 30 days.

The method of calculating MAU involves choosing an action, such as app launch (typically the most common option), page view, or login, that qualifies as an activity.

Instead of a calendar month, a rolling 30-day period is often used to gauge user activity at any given time during the month. Utilizing the appropriate tools, you identify those unique users who have completed the designated activities within the specified timeframe.

What is MAU for developers and marketers? It offers them insights into shifts in the app's popularity and allows them to discern whether user engagement is increasing, decreasing, or remaining stable.
