Competitors
Thousands of similar apps compete for visibility in app stores. To outperform, you have to apply effective keywords that work for TOP apps.
Competitors section includes the following features:
- Competitors Finder (Find New on a sidebar) – tool for finding the competitors based on the relevant keywords.
- Selected – list of the chosen competitors. You can edit it whenever you want.
- Creatives – list of visual app listings from your competitors (screenshots, icons).
- Market Research – a tool for creating a report about the market based on your competitors.
Competitors Finder (Find New)
Competitors Finder is a must-do step for comprehensive ASO analysis. As a driving part of Competitors algorithms, Competitors Finder automatically collects a list of similar apps to the one you chose. Then, you need to select direct competitors or exclude non-competitors. Based on your choice, Asolytics performs an ASO analysis and proposes the most relevant lists of keywords to compose the semantic core in the Search Terms tools.
Application: Search and analysis of competing apps.
Goal: Gathering relevant keywords based on competitors.
Time: Up to 5 minutes.
You’ll see the list formed by you in the Competitors and Non-Competitors sections. Competitors are pinned in the sidebar for fast access to the list in case you need to make changes.
Mark all the competitors and non-competitors
Put a Checkmark if you consider the product your competitor and X if it is a non-competitor. It is advisable to put marks on each item.
Tip: The more apps you select in Competitors Finder, the more accurate the analysis and suggestions of Asolytics tools will be. We recommend adding 100 or more apps to get the most relevant keywords.
The previews show apps’ titles, icons, categories, and app store ratings. If you need more information, click on the app’s name to see its full data.
Click “Next” when you’re done with one page to move on to the following list. You will receive a warning window if you have not checked all apps. Choose whether to return to this page or go to the next one.
Take a look at the progress bar at the top of the page. It shows how many apps you still have to add until you get the perfect result. Continue until it fills up, or you think it’s time to stop.
All the Competitors Finder progress is saved in the Competitors, Track section. Any time you can see the full list of competitors you chose in the Competitors tab.
Creatives
This tool shows your competitor's app screens and icons. Use this section for insights about your app design and how to represent your app listing in the app stores.
Asolytics analyzes your choice, identifies overlapping keywords, and offers recommendations to form a semantic core based on the data about competitors. After it’s done, you can use Keywords tools at full strength – you’ll get keywords from your competitors real-time, as much as possible.
