Keyword Explorer shows performance of a particular keyword in details.

The tool provides data about performance of a particular keyword in details. It will help you decide whether you should add a keyword to Tracking (your semantic core) and use it for the optimization of your app. In Keyword Explorer, you have access to critical Asolytics keyword tools in a compact form – all the data about a specific keyword in one place.

Choose a Keyword

To get started with Keyword Explorer, type the keyword into the search bar and click “Analyze”. Or choose one of the suggested options in the cloud below. Here are the keywords from your Tracking keywords list.

Asolytics offers data for iPhone and iPad separately. By default, data is shown for iPhone; switch to iPad in the upper right corner if needed. You can also translate a keyword into any language using Google Translate by clicking the appropriate button.

Analyze the Keyword

1. Performance

Reveal the keyword’s performance on the following parameters:

  • Popularity shows the estimated rate for the keyword, depending on how often people use this keyword to search for the app.
  • Daily impressions are the number of app impressions for this keyword daily.
  • Your app ranking shows how your app is ranked for the selected keyword.
  • Competitors (Top-10) include apps from the top 10 for this keyword.

To take a closer look at keyword popularity changes – click the icon next to the metric name to open the Popularity Chart. Specify the country and select the period. Hover over the desired date to see the exact data and popularity dynamics.

2. Live Search

Live Search shows apps ranked with the chosen keyword. In this section, you can see the top 10 apps that are featured when a user types a word or phrase you’ve chosen. You can review the basic metadata and add any app to your list of competitors. To access the full list, click “See All” to open the full version of this tool.

3. Keywords Autosuggest

Keywords Autosuggest shows what suggestions users get when they type a keyword in the app store search bar. This section shows the most popular queries. You can translate the desired word using Google Translate, add it to Keyword Tracking, and see which keywords you are already tracking. To access the full list, click “See All” to open the full version of this tool.

4. Average Metrics by Category

Here you can see the distribution of the top 10 apps that rank for the selected keyword by categories.

5. Top App Insights

These insights can help you compare your app’s performance with the averages of competitors' apps for the chosen keyword. Here you can see:

  • number of competitors from the top 10;
  • average of their ratings;
  • average number of votes;
  • average apps’ age;
  • percentage of free apps;
  • average price of paid apps ($).

This way, you can explore any keyword. When you’re done with one word or phrase, type another in the top search bar. Afterward, proceed to the next step — studying the search results for a specific keyword using Live Search.
